Jeremy Blank menghadirkan hasil foto lubang jarumnya (pinhole photography). Kenapa memilih menggunakan kamera lubang jarum sebagai alat pilihan untuk proyek seninya?, karena menurutnya ini lebih berkaitan dengan kebutuhan untuk bereksperimen dengan waktu di luar batasan algoritma digital. Jeremy ingin memperpanjang durasi paparan dari perspektif biologis dan metafisik daripada kode formulis. Karya-karyanya berkembang dari sebuah meditasi berkaitan dengan  tulisan Francois Laruelle tentang non-fotografi dan karya beberapa fotografer dan seniman terdahulu. Karya-karya mereka secara langsung merujuk pada waktu, distorsi, kefanaan, dan usia. Jeremy merasa siap untuk berkontribusi pada dialog yang kaya dan penuh makna, namun  ketika dibawa pada pembicaraan biasanya sangat sulit untuk direpresentasikan dengan cara yang jujur. Melalui karyanya yang merespon tema Crisis, Jeremy ingin menyampaikan bahwa kita ini dalam hitungan waktu setiap hari akan mengalami pertemuan dan berpisahan, termasuk bagaimana mempertimbangkan cara berinteraksi dengan orang lain, atau mengungkapkan rasa kekecewaan atas refleksi dari sebuah sikap. Melalui foto lubang jarumnya ia akan menangkap  dan mengungkapkan, dimana kata-kata yang selama ini menjadi aksi telah beku untuk diucapkan. Karya-karya jeremy yang dinamai seri The Day’s sangatlah jelas bahwa crisis dimulai dari kita sendiri, bila setiap orang tidak menyadarinya, maka akan berimbas pada yang lainnya. Sama ketika ia menganggab bahwa cahaya sebagai cerminan dirinya, maka cahaya itu akan terus berubah mengikutinya. Manusia dituntut untuk masuk ke wilayah kesadaran, karena pada intinya dalam diri setiap manusia memliki fitrah kebaikan yang bisa ditumbuhkembangkan menjadi kebaikan bagi kehidupan di muka bumi ini. Jeremy Blank presents forays into the world of pinhole photography. Why did he choose to use the pinhole camera as his tool of choice for his art projects? Because according to him, this enables him to experiment more closely with time outside of the limitations of digital algorithms. Blank wants to extend the duration of exposure from a biological and metaphysical perspective rather than based on a formal code. His works develop from a meditation related to Francois Laruelle’s writings on non-photography, and also pay homage to various earlier photographers and artists whose works directly refer to time, distortion, mortality, and age. Eager to contribute to what is a rich and meaningful dialogue, Blank embraces the challenge of representing critical issues with honesty. Through his work in response to the theme of Crisis, Blank wants to convey that time is a dimension according to which we experience both meetings and separations, and to consider how we might best interact with others, or perhaps express disappointment over the reflection of an attitude. Through his pinhole photos he captures and expresses ideas where words relating to actions have otherwise been muted. In the practice of shooting through his pinhole camera, slow motion fragmentation over sixty seconds allows his camera to measure the slope and angle of sunlight for two and a half hours. Blank immortalizes himself through this project on a daily basis, always in search of something new, and striving to convey or give voice to meanings in short moments captured in brief, analog time, between morning and lunch. Blank’s works, called The Day’s series, demonstrate clearly that crises generally begin with ourselves, and that as long as everyone remains unaware, then these crises will affect others. Just as he considers light a reflection of himself, then the light will continue to change in his image. Humans need to enter and inhabit the realm of consciousness, because in essence, every human being has a natural goodness that can be developed into goodness for the sake of all life on Earth.
